About Patterns and Paradigms
Patterns and Paradigms is a space dedicated to exploring what it means for the church to truly be a family of families, rooted in the Gospel and patterned after the traditions laid down for us by the apostles.
We believe church renewal begins with rediscovering the simple, powerful patterns found in the book of Acts and throughout the New Testament. Through essays, reflections, and practical insights, Patterns and Paradigms aims to help followers of Jesus rethink what it means to be the church, recovering a vision of spiritual family that renews communities, transforms lives, and — like the first believers — turns the world upside down.
About the Author
Matthew D. Andersen is based in the Greater NYC area and serves with the METRO equipping team — a network of leaders working to establish churches as families, patterned after Acts. For more than two decades, he has served in leadership roles in education, business, non-profits, and the local church.
Matthew is passionate about helping leaders and churches pattern their life and ministry after the New Testament and rooting an emerging 21st-century church paradigm based on the way of Christ and His Apostles. We believes it’s possible in our day to see “the world turned upside-down” if we’re faithful to fully align ourselves with Christ’s plan.
